Join us so others can join in!

Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria is currently seeking a volunteer to pilot a tandem bike for a woman who is vision impaired, on a fortnightly basis. There is flexibility with times and days. Tandem piloting experience would be preferred.

You need to be reliable and enjoy bike riding.
As a friendly, volunteer tandem bike pilot you need to be 18 years of age or older, with a positive attitude towards people with disabilities and fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Recruitment involves an interview, police and referee checks and completion of short training on how to best assist a person who has vision loss. We provide training so you can feel confident to assist, join in, have fun, stay healthy and be involved too.

Try something new and make a positive difference to the quality of life of somebody in your local community.
Join our friendly team of volunteers. Volunteers gain great benefit from assisting people who are blind or vision impaired, while enjoying many valued experiences.

If you are interested in volunteering as a tandem bike pilot, or you would like to find out what other volunteer opportunities are available please contact Miriam on 03 9822 8876 or by email miriam@blindsports.org.au
