Seeking a volunteer to help a blind lady with Osteoporosis get out of the house and build up her fitness.
This is an ongoing weekly commitment in Werribee.
Flexible day and time.
You must be friendly, patient and have a positive attitude to working with people with disability.
Recruitment involves an interview, police and referee checks and completion of short training on how to best assist a person who has vision loss.

As a walking companion you will be part of the Walking with Willpower program, which aims to increase fitness, well-being and community involvement for adults who are blind or vision impaired. As a friendly, volunteer walking buddy you need to be more than 18 years of age, and be up-to-date with your Covid-19 vaccinations.
