Join us to learn some history as we walk the Merri Creek Trail.

Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria invite adults who are blind or vision impaired to attend a 5.4 kilometre walk along the Merri Creek Trail from Coburg Lake Reserve in Coburg North to CERES Environmental Park in Brunswick East.

Along the way you will pass Joe's Market Garden, learning about this unique urban organic farm next to the Merri Creek with its rich migrant history.

We will end up at CERES Grocery & Bakery Cafe to enjoy a coffee and pastry/sandwich while socialising with friends.

 

When: Monday the 6th of November, 2023.

Where: Walking trail - Coburg North to Brunswick East.

Time: 10am to 1pm.

Walk Duration: 5.4km along concrete path with some small inclines/declines.

Cost: Free. BYO money for coffee/food.

 

Transportation:
Option One:
Meet at Coburg Lake Reserve, Lake Grove, Coburg (near the corner of Gaffney Street and Sydney Road, Coburg).
Option Two: Meet at Flinders Street Train Station outside the Police Box for assisted travel. Upfield train and platform number provided closer to event date.
