Meditation for Beginners

“Simple steps to peace and contentment – without spending the rest of your life on a mountain top”


Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria would like to introduce a new 6-week online meditation program available to all.

“Everyone is different and that is why during this course we will explore the different methods of meditation to discover the best practice that suits you.”

Each session is 1-1.5 hours and includes gentle movements to help relax the body then a 10 min meditation.  Each week an audio guided meditation and relaxation will be provided. Classes will be recorded for those who are unable to attend.

Over the 6 weeks course you will learn:

  1. Introduction to meditation
  2. Breath
  3. Mindfulness
  4. Letting go and letting be
  5. Exploring emotions
  6. Choosing your practice

Facilitator, Jenny Dodd, has over 20 years meditation experience, she is a Qigong teacher and an internationally certified DRU Yoga & Meditation teacher


Individuals who are blind or vision impaired and volunteers are welcome to join these classes!

When:  24 February - 31 March (Wednesday's)

Cost:  $60 ($10 per class)
