Centre for Adult Education (CAE), Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria

Description

In partnership with the Centre for Adult Education (CAE), Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria offers weekly, supported strength and ballet classes for adults who are blind or have low vision.

Classes are open to adults of all ages; including males and females of any fitness level and ability.  Facilitated by an experienced ballet teacher, Rosemary Robenn,  the program is fun and informal and includes:

  • a short talk about a famous ballet
  • conditioning and strengthening pilates style exercises on fitballs, using the barre for support
  • some barre and floor work.

Come and try a class – it is a fun way to strengthen and tone and improve your balance and core stability.

When

Classes run weekly during the school term on Fridays between 12.30 and 2.00pm.

Where 

Council of Adult Education, 253 Flinders Lane, Melbourne.  The venue is near Flinders Street station and other public transport and participants can be met at Flinders St station.

Cost of activity

$10 per session.
