Diagnosed with retinoblastoma (cancer of the eyes) at just 16 months old, I had both eyes removed by the age of 3. Since then, I’ve strived to achieve all that I can. From attending Space Camp for the vision-impaired to traveling solo to the UK in 2024, I believe in self-independence and taking every opportunity life throws my way.
I'm passionate about fostering inclusion in all sports and activities, particularly in the Geelong region. I believe that no matter your location, everybody should have access to sports and recreation that are inclusive for all.
Getting out there with a can-do attitude is what matters most. Being physically active not only keeps you fit, but also helps build connections and strengthens your social life.
Growing up, I always dreamed of playing AFL football. Seven years ago that dream became a reality when I was given the chance to be involved in Blind AFL. It’s had a massive impact on my life; boosting my confidence, keeping me active, and growing my social connections. I currently play for St. Kilda and love every minute of it, even though I’ll always be a die-hard Geelong Cats supporter!
My life motto? Live with the cards you’ve been dealt, and try to make the best of it.
