Exploring the awe inspiring natural beauty of the Grampians. We joined in!

Rugged up, excited, and ready to go, our group headed off in a mini-van for a 3 day trip.

The Grampians, also known as Gariwerd, offered us a combination of easy accessible short walks with stunning waterfalls and scenic lookouts that we were able to describe to our vision impaired walkers.

From our delightful accommodation we sensed the true essence of Australia with the wild bush rolling down to our door, Kangaroos hopping around us and kookaburras calling. We enjoyed wonderful local food & were treated to some home made Fudge.

Adventure, hiking trails and lots of fun was had on our camp at the Grampians. Getting back to nature is definitely good for the soul!

Some of the walks we enjoyed (some with a lot of stairs) were : Silverband Falls, Lake Bellfield Wall, Clematis Falls, Mackenzie Falls (Broken Falls & Cranages, Reed lookout, Boroka lookout, Botanical Gardens.

This event was made possible by Parks Victoria Healthy Parks Healthy People Initiative and the VicHealth Reimagining Health Grant.
Thank you to both Parks Victoria and VicHealth for their support.
