Gym Circuit Class - Weekly in Hawthorn. Join in.

Build your muscles and endurance, and enjoy the endorphin highs of this weekly Gym circuit class for participants who are vision impaired / blind.

The class is led by an experienced YMCA personal trainer and volunteers support individual participants with changing weights, reading displays, and moving between machines. Each routine is individually tailored to each participant so it is suitable to a range of fitness levels. 

Where: Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre. 1 Grace St., Hawthorn.

When: Tuesdays 2.45pm to 3.45pm.

Cost: $8.90 concession.
On your first visit please show your Community Access Card (CAC), Concession or Healthcare Card at the desk to get a concession Access Pass Card).

 

Transport:

By train: The closest train station is Glenferrie.
Exit Glenferrie train station via Don arcade and turn right onto Glenferrie Road, cross at the pedestrian crossing in 77 metres (at the McDonalds) then turn left and walk 70 metres towards Grace street. Turn right down Grace street and walk 70 metres, cross a pedestrian crossing to the main entrance to the centre.  

By tram: Catch the number 16 tram stop number 74 to Kew, or stop number 73 to St Kilda. From stop 74 follow the directions to the centre from Glenferrie train station above. 

From stop 73 walk 70 metres towards Grace street. Turn right down Grace street and walk 70 metres, cross a pedestrian crossing to the main entrance to the centre.  

 

Support: A personal trainer leads the class and some volunteer support is available. If you have specific support needs please bring your own support person and contact us to discuss.
