Join us at Ricketts Point for a guided walk and rockpool exploration.

Discover the wonderful sea creatures of Port Phillip Bay.

Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria invite adults who are blind or vision impaired to visit Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary for a guided coastal walk with an experienced educator from the Dolphin Research Institute.

We will discuss the intertidal zone and the role it plays in habitat protection, learn about dolphin research, walk through coastal vegetation, explore the rock platform, hold sea snails and maybe find Port Jackson shark eggs!

Afterwards, join us for lunch at Ricketts Point Beaumaris Restaurant nearby.

 

When: Wednesday 8th October.
Guided Tour: 9:30am - 11am.
Lunch: 11:30am - 1pm.

Where: Beaumaris Life Saving Club, Ricketts Point, Beach Road, Beaumaris. VIC. 3193.

Cost: FREE. Buy your own lunch.

What to bring: Water bottle, closed-toe shoes that can get wet, hat/sunglasses and optional bathers & towel for a dip.

Transport: Option to meet at Travellers Aid, Flinders Street Train Station and travel to venue together.
