Kaye Speed receives the Everyday Independence Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Everyday Independence Lifetime Achievement Award acknowledges the length and breadth of an individual’s contribution to their chosen discipline, sport, recreation, club or association.

Congratulations Kaye. We are honoured to have you as part of the Blind Sports and Recreation family.

Kaye is Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria's Financial Manager, having served as a Voluntary Executive Committee member for more than 19 years. She has fulfilled both the Treasurer and Secretary roles for Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria.

“I’m honoured to have received this Award and would like to thank Disability Sport & Recreation with the support of Price Waterhouse Coopers, for the work they do in the community. I would not have been able to fulfill my role without the support of the wonderful volunteers who assist me with the financial management and staff of Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria (BSRV). Everyone involved with BSRV has been an inspiration to me for more than 20 years. I look forward to continuing to be a part of, and contributing to BSRV”. Kaye Speed.

About The Disability Sport and Recreation Awards

The annual Victorian Disability Sport and Recreation Awards recognise the accomplishments of people with disability; those who support them and the inclusive sport and recreation sector across the state.

It is an opportunity to celebrate the athletes, volunteers, officials, administrators, clubs, venues, and programs that enable and empower people with disability to get active and achieve their goals.
