Moysey Walk and lunch. We joined in!

Having been postponed a number of times we were happy to finally enjoy the Moysey Gardens and the great coastal views.

It was a scorching 32 degree day on Melbourne's first day of summer when a group of blind and vision impaired people, plus three gorgeous guide dogs, congregated out the front of the Beaumaris Community Centre for the 4 kilometre Moysey Walk.

This walk took in Friendship Path & Gardens, Banksia Reserve, Tramway Parade, Moysey Gardens, Beach Road with coastal views, and the Keys Street Shopping Centre. On Keys Street, people piled into the lovely air-conditioned Whisk & Grind Cafe for lunch and rich conversation.

After the walk, staff invited the group into the Beaumaris Library for a tour, free tote bag and a welcomed cold glass of water!

"Pearl and I would like to thank you again for organising the Moysey Walk yesterday, and to say how much we appreciated your cheerful care and assistance along the way. It was good to meet up with an old friend and meet some new ones."
Peter.

Thank you Bayside City Council for their support.
